Sip & Soar: Okanagan Getaway Terms & Conditions

 

SPONSOR & ADMINISTRATOR

The “Sip & Soar: Okanagan Getaway” (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by H Tasting Lounge at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver (the “Sponsor”), located at 1601 Bayshore Dr, Vancouver, BC V6G 2V4.

ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding where prohibited by law) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives, or agents of the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) are not eligible to enter. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins on March 8, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. PT and ends on July 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PT (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received by the Sponsor during the Contest Period to be eligible.

HOW TO ENTER

Automatic Entry: Participants who reserve and dine with us for the “Around the World in 80 Days Afternoon Tea” at H Tasting Lounge between March 8, 2025, and July 8, 2025, will automatically be entered into the Contest.

No Purchase Necessary Entry: To enter without purchase, participants must mail a self-addressed stamped envelope along with a handwritten request containing their full name, complete mailing address, phone number, and a brief explanation (minimum 50 words) of why they would like to win the prize to:

Requests must be postmarked by July 8, 2025, and received no later than July 15, 2025. Limit of one (1) mail-in entry per person.

PRIZE

Description: One (1) winner will receive: A 3-night stay in a Deluxe Lakeview Guestroom at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort A private hot air balloon ride for two (2) Round-trip airfare for two (2) A Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery tour for two (2) Approximate retail value of the prize is CAD$6000. The prize must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions, cash redemption, or transfer of the prize is permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

ODDS OF WINNING

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION

A random draw will be conducted on or about July 15, 2025, by the Sponsor (or its designated representatives) from all eligible entries received. The selected entrant will be notified by [email, phone, or social media direct message] within 5 business days of the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within one week or does not respond within that time, they may be disqualified, and an alternate entrant may be selected.

SKILL-TESTING QUESTION

Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid, as required by Canadian law. Failure to correctly answer will result in disqualification.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

By entering, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or that tampers with the entry process.

PUBLICITY RELEASE

By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to the Sponsor’s use of their name, city of residence, photograph, and/or statements for publicity in connection with the Contest without compensation or further notice.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY & RELEASE

By participating, entrants release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any liability or damages arising out of or related to participation in the Contest, the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize, or the administration of the Contest.

PRIVACY

Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Sponsor for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. By entering, entrants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information for these purposes.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest.

DISPUTES

All disputes concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Contest that cannot be resolved through negotiations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

LANGUAGE

These Terms and Conditions are available in English. By participating, entrants agree that the English version will prevail over any other version that may be available.
